The Illustration Friday topic this week is “Insect”. I had to take care of the topic as well as keep Sketchbook Week going, so here ya go kids, a robotic housefly.

Hella cool. Man, is that oil leaking out the nose, my friend? Keep on drawing those robots!
lol I’m not sure if there will ever be demand for a robotic fly. It’s not like it can help around the house like other robots could. :D Great drawing though! I love all the robots here.
They may not be able to help with the housework, but thanks to the book How To Survive A Robot Uprising by Daniel H. Wilson, I do know that robotic flies could one day (or even now) be used to spy on us in our homes. Sleep tight… Bzzzzzzzzzzz…zz…zzzz…
Pretty cool, is he leaking robot oil.
Also hello to another fellow robot :)
Wow the value on this picture is done very well. Also the picture is very creative.
Your insect reminds me of the movie FLY, when the guy is changed into a fly wih human-like characteristics. Did you have any inspirations for choosing to draw your insect? It also has machine-like traits if you look at the legs
Very expressive! Lots of depth in this.
This is very cool. I love the line work on it.
In The Fifth Element, Zorg (Gary Oldman) has got a robotic spy-bug. But I don’t think it could fly like this one, though.
Needs a napkin…
