June 19th, 2006 :: “Sample-Bot #016″

Man, that robot is so “tired.” The always classic “soul patch”. I have a lot more ideas and sketches for these hairy robots, but I think this one will be that last one for a week or two at least. If you’ve got any more favorite facial hair styles, feel free to recommend them. If I don’t already have it down, I will add it to the list.

Acrylic on a 2″ by 3″ piece of countertop sample, and can be yours for only $10.

Ah, those were the days… The teenage peach fuzz. I call this one, “It’ll Fill In!”

June 15th, 2006 :: “Sample-Bot #014″

Facial-hair connoisseur that I may be, I have no idea of the actual name of this style, if there is one. I’ve always called it the “Lounge Beard.”

Acrylic on a 2″ by 3″ piece of countertop sample, and can be yours for only $10.

June 14th, 2006 :: “Sample-Bot #013″

Fu-Manchu style number two. “The Trucker” likes his beer cold and his women hot.

Acrylic on a 2″ by 3″ piece of countertop sample, and can be yours for only $10.

Sample-Bot #013 - $10

Fu-Manchu style number one. Number two rears its ugly head tomorrow. This one is called “En-lighten-ment.”

Acrylic on a 2″ by 3″ piece of countertop sample, and can be yours for only $10.

June 12th, 2006 :: “Sample-Bot #011″

Sorry for the late post today, kids. I was “pleasantly distracted” for most of the weekend and wasn’t able to do any painting. The full beard; the grandfather of all facial hair styles! I also like to call this the “Young Santa.”

Guess what? It’s acrylic on a 2″ by 3″ piece of countertop sample, and can be yours for only $10.

(I just realized after I scanned this that I accidentally knocked out a little of the beard when I was painting its shadow. Fixed.)

June 9th, 2006 :: “Kickball: The Robot”

Sorry about the later-than-usual post today, I was too tired from playing kickball last night. Rock!

June 8th, 2006 :: “Bike-bot”

Today is the first day of Pedal-palooza here in Portland, a 17 day celebration of all things 2-wheeled and human powered. Just a quick sketch because I’d rather be out riding than drawing a robot right now. Facial hair robots return tomorrow, hopefully.

June 7th, 2006 :: “Etta-Tron”

It was my friend Etta-tron’s birthday last night, so I made her a Shrinky Dink keychain. Here she is, being distracted right before the picture was taken. The Etta-tron design is hers, I just re-drew it on the keychain.

June 6th, 2006 :: “Sample-Bot #010″

Muttonchops! The most inquisitive of facial hair styles. The ‘chops are also my personal favorite. I’m wearing a pair right now!

That’s right, it’s acrylic on a 2″ by 3″ piece of countertop sample, and can be yours for only $10.
