July 31st, 2006 :: “Probably Not”
I don’t think there’ll be a robot today. I was gone all weekend and now something’s come up. Should be a bigger thing tomorrow though, so I’ll try to make up for it.

This sketch turned out MUCH differently than I had envisioned when I began. As much as I sort of like how this one came out, I’d like to apologize for all the crappy sketches this week. I haven’t quite gotten back into the swing of things after my week off last week.

A quick test sketch for something that, if I’m quick, you might see tomorrow, but more likely it will be Monday or Tuesday.

I don’t really feel like typing much about stuff this week. No reason, just don’t.
(For those of you worried, this is not MY last robot, but is a drawing of THE last robot.)

I’m back from my vacation, and thanks to all the artists willing to let me feature them last week.
I feel so out of ideas I am right now. This is the ONLY robot I drew while on vacation, and I couldn’t even figure out what it should be saying.
What do you think the robot should be saying?

You’ve seen Collin David’s Meat Bot before, but in illustration form. Here’s one in 3-D! More of Collin’s robots can be seen at http://www.studiorobotico.com and more of his other art at http://www.resonantfish.com.

How cool is this? Tom Torrey makes constructed and found object robot art. He’s got a lot more that you should treat your eyes to over on his Flickr gallery.

The Woebots are lovingly brought into this world, by their mother, the ever crafty Vanessa Leftbehind. If you’re on the MySpace, you should totally befriend the Woebots. http://www.myspace.com/woebot_squad.

Cat Bishop is the creator of today’s robot. Just in case you were wondering, all of the robots this week will be constructed or sculptural in nature. Check out more of Cat’s work at http://artsy.etsy.com.
