A quick lunchtime doodle. You’ll probably be seeing a lot of sketchbook stuff for the next week as I get used to dealing with school schedules and homework and what-have-you. Something is very wrong with this robot’s head.

Just a little vector fun. Robots giving the thumbs up will never get old to me.

Today is the first day of classes at Pacific Northwest College of Art. I think I’m a little more excited than my robo-alter ego here.
And remember, there are still t-shirts left for sale. Contribute to my education!

I don’t usually say this about things straight from my sketchbook, but damn, I like how this turned out.
BIG NEWS!
If any of you fine fans of R-A-D will be in the Portland, Oregon area during the end of October, I will be tabling for R-A-D at the Stumptown Comics Fest. This will be my first ever tabling experience at something like this, and I am undeniably excited. Come and say hey!

I hadn’t done anything for Illustration Friday for a few weeks, but that was all supposed to change this week. The theme was “Match” and for some reason, I was really hooked on the idea that I wanted to do it as a painting. Well, I finally gave up after not liking anything I was doing with the brushes. I attempted to paint the robot on the right, even though I liked the one on the left better. I will forever blame that choice for my failure.
Today and tomorrow, I have orientation for art school. I will probably be drawing robots all day, instead of paying attention, so hopefully I’ll have something better to show over the next few days.

Today’s robot post was sent in by Ken Ekdahl of The Bad Robot. Check out more of Ken’s work at http://www.thebadrobot.com. Thanks Ken!
