I’m Furious At Oil Paint Right Now

It’s true, I severly dislike oil paint as a medium. I can see the appeal for some people, but their reasonings are usually detractions to me. Never has an art supply caused me so much frustration, headaches (literally, the fumes make me sick), and anger. It is in no way a reflection upon my painting teacher, whom I highly respect as both an artist and instructor. It is solely my stubborn aggression that makes me feel this way about oil paint. In about two and a half months, I will never have to use oil paint again, if I so choose.
Red Wine Headaches

Today was supposed to be the first comic in a three-day story, but after doing some planning, I think I need four pages to tell it properly, so it will have to wait because I only had three (now two) comics left to do for PNCA.
I had a group art show opening at Random Order Coffeeshop in Portland last night. I totally forgot about it until the morning of, when I received a reminder email. It was a fun opening, lots of chatting with friends whom I don’t get to see enough, but I didn’t sell my piece. It’s ok though, it’s a self-portrait show, and does anyone really buy self-portraits? I don’t think so.
I Really Wish I Had More Time For Robots These Days

I’ve got one more of these to do tomorrow before I start what I hope will be a fun three day story to finish off this series of comics for my school.
So is anyone that’s reading this a connoisseur of electronic music? I’m looking for stuff that’s really heavy, fast, noisy, grindy, screechy, glitchy, and otherwise generally offensive to listen to. Recommendations?
So Sleepy.

It’s true, and it’s actually almost 38 hours at the time of posting this. I had a lot to do this weekend and a lot of projects to finish up on Sunday night, so yeah, I didn’t sleep. Soon though. Luckily I don’t have class until the afternoon tomorrow.
Also, here’s the completed back cover for the upcoming PNCA comics anthology. I posted the linework last week.

Seriously, Pay Me

Another journal comic for PNCA. Two down, eight to go. This is officially the last time I will publicly mention Robots Are People Too being dropped.
There’s some additional writing that goes along with this comic. It’s sort of about how I feel about art as a business. For any interested parties, read on.
