Well, that’s it for The Life and Times of Baby Otto Zeplin: Volume One. Everything’s ready to be printed, and I have one color of the two-color screen printed cover finished (see below) so anyone that might be interested in taking home a copy should be able to do so within the next few days!

This picture probably doesn’t make a lot of sense, but what it means to me is that I had to sleep on the floor last night. By tonight, these will look like mini-comic covers, I swear.

I’m going to finish up the last 10 pages of “Business Casual” next, before moving on to The Life and Times of Baby Otto Zeplin: Volume Two, but do not fear, Otto shall return shortly! I feel like now that I’ve finally got a sizable chunk of the story done (if you can call 1/10 “sizable”), I am more confident about keeping this going at a little bit quicker pace.

Oh, SH*T!

I’m on BoingBoing today! OK well not me, but one of my 1″ buttons is, check it out!

It’s one of these buttons:

Wouldn’t you know it, they happen to be for sale, a-right here!

Woah, three Baby Ottos?! Yup, and I apologize for leaving you on such a sad one today. The 25th and final page in The Life And Times Of Baby Otto Zeplin: Volume One will be posted on Monday, so make sure you come back.

I’ve been waiting for MONTHS to post this robot, but I didn’t get my copy until yesterday. I did the logo for a new UK dance record label called Fat Robot Records, and this is Side A of FATBOT 01, Lokey Ltd ft. Charlie G. - “Lead Me To The Dancefloor. It’s super happy and dancey, not exactly what I usually listen to, but damn it if it wasn’t the most beautiful song I’ve ever heard the moment I saw that logo spinning on my turntable. Click here to buy it or listen to audio samples. Blue vinyl makes my heart go eeeeeeeeeee!

If any of you happen to be Scouse House DJs, let me know if you see this around, it just got released a few weeks ago.

Oh yeah, and here’s some Baby Otto too!

That’s it for the ghost of Ulysses S. Grant for now. I’ve had a lot of fun with the big lug, and I know a lot of you have too, so he may return in some future volume. There are only four more days left to complete The Life And Times Of Baby Otto Zeplin: Volume One, at which point I will be forming them into the rough shape of a tiny book, otherwise known as a mini-comic.

May 26th-27th, 1900

Well, this whole Grant thing is becoming quite the mess, isn’t it? Otto’s been so busy adventuring that we haven’t seen his parents for a while, remember them?

In case anyone is curious, May 27th, 1900 was, in fact, a Sunday.

I guess it’s time to explain something about my plans for Baby Otto. Basically there are three types of days that will occur in Otto’s life.

A) Days where Otto does something that a normal child does, even though he might be a little too young to do so realistically (EXAMPLE)
B) Days where Otto does something that no child would do, but could be commonplace for an adult (EXAMPLE)
C) Days that have no bearing on history or reality whatsoever, such as these two (No, I’m not saying ghosts DON’T exist)

That’s all, just an explanation in case anyone is getting confused by these last few ghostly days.

This is probably my favorite panel of Baby Otto so far. There’s just something about a tiny, tired little boy being frightened by the oblivious, ranting ghost of an ex-president that makes me chuckle.

How lucky you are, you get two Baby Ottos for the price of one (free) today!
