Shark Week #1

July 27th through August 2nd, 2008, I’ll be drawing a shark every day in celebration of Discovery Channel’s Annual Shark Week. I’m starting the week off with a simple doodle, re-colored a bit in Photoshop. There’s a Shark Week Artists Flickr Group, you still have time to join up and draw some sharks!

October 20th, 2006 :: “Halloween Costume”

Seriously, I’m at a loss this year. Does anyone have any good ideas they’re not using? The only requirement is that I have to be able to remain unshaven.

CURRENT DONATIONS: $3.40

September 4th, 2006 :: “IF - Safe”

It feels good to be back doing Illustration Friday. I hadn’t contributed anything for weeks. A fairly literal translation of the theme, “safe,” but with robots, of course.

If you are coming here for the first time via Illustration Friday; welcome. I’ve got robots every weekday, so feel free to come back anytime. Also… T-SHIRTS!

August 18th, 2006 :: “Wha?”

August 11th, 2006 :: “Danger!”

Once a month, I try to join in the fun over at Art Blog Challenge. This month’s theme is “Danger” and this looks pretty dangerous to me, yeah?

August 8th, 2006 :: “ROCK!”

Sorry for the late post today. I went out last night to see Peaches and Eagles of Death Metal and didn’t have time to do a robot until now. It was a helluva super-sexy, rock and roll experience.

Robo-Jesse’s shirt says “Up Here, All Metal. Down There, All Man.”, which is one of an as yet unfinished set of robot pickup lines that I’m coming up with that may become buttons one day.

August 4th, 2006 :: “What’s In The Box?”

Well? What IS in that box?

August 3rd, 2006 :: “ROBOT”

July 28th, 2006 :: “Two Turntables”

This sketch turned out MUCH differently than I had envisioned when I began. As much as I sort of like how this one came out, I’d like to apologize for all the crappy sketches this week. I haven’t quite gotten back into the swing of things after my week off last week.

June 29th, 2006 :: “Sword of Robots”

Today’s robot is a salute to some of Robot-A-Day’s awesome LiveJournal friends. I’ve been playing a game called the LiveJournal Dungeon Adventure, a text-based adventure game based on your (or other LJ users’) friends and interests. Bee Eye posted a drawing of all his spoils of the dungeon, so I was inspired to do the same.

After a valiant fight, I was able to fend off the evils of the dungeon with the help of my trusty Sword of Robots, the Armour of Jeff Manley, and the Dagger of Dorkboycomics. After barely escaping, I checked my loot bag to see that I had stolen away with not only the Amulet of Patchworkrobot, but also the much sought after Figurine of Elio!

Now, in rememberance of fallen enemies:
Chainsawkarate the kobold
Cp Journalcomic the floating eye
Himynameisjamie the nymph
Jeremytinder the leprechaun
B Zedan the mind flayer
Hate Song the gelatinous cube
Bee Eye the leprechaun
Silentkimbly the rat
Resonantfish the kobold
Ilikelines the minotaur
