That’s right, it’s the third painting in the triptych for my “Evolution of Robot” series. Acrylic, photocopy transfer, and tea stains on a 4″ by 4″ piece of hardboard.

That’s right, it’s the third painting in the triptych for my “Evolution of Robot” series. Acrylic, photocopy transfer, and tea stains on a 4″ by 4″ piece of hardboard.
This series is great BT, out of interest though is the first picture the start of the evolution ?
These brown ones look like a previous stage to the coloured ones.
The three key points in robot evolution are:
1. Proto Bot
2. Unit #001
3. Big Bot
There may be other missing links in between these key points, but the jury’s still out on whether or not they will ever be shown.
“Evolution of Robot” is the name of the over-arching series, with each piece being it’s own thing, not necessarily an evolutionary step.
BT, I’m glad you’ve cleared that up, I was thinking that each peice was a porgression rather than the robots themselves.

Yo, BigTime, looking good, my friend. Your series is pretty interesting. Since these are “close-ups”, will you eventually show them at full size?
The series will be ever evolving (no pun intended). I don’t have any specific plans for the next piece in the series yet, but I wouldn’t be suprised to see some full body work done.
