May 24th-25th, 1900

I guess it’s time to explain something about my plans for Baby Otto. Basically there are three types of days that will occur in Otto’s life.
A) Days where Otto does something that a normal child does, even though he might be a little too young to do so realistically (EXAMPLE)
B) Days where Otto does something that no child would do, but could be commonplace for an adult (EXAMPLE)
C) Days that have no bearing on history or reality whatsoever, such as these two (No, I’m not saying ghosts DON’T exist)
That’s all, just an explanation in case anyone is getting confused by these last few ghostly days.

Can’t Ulysses go play with Lincoln’s ghost?
Funny you mention that because Grant’s ghost was originally planned to be Lincoln’s ghost, but Grant works better for what is going to happen over the next few days of Otto’s life.
I think Grant is much funnier than Lincoln would have been. Using Grant is unexpected and that in itself is humourous. I think it was a good call on your part to use him instead of lincoln.
You can thank two things for me switching Lincoln for Grant: The last season of Venture Bros. featured the ghost of Lincoln, and I had forgotten. Secondly, my roommate, who made me realize that Lincoln is too idealized a figure for him to be doing some of the things I have him doing over the next few days.
