Strong Robots Also Cry
I just got word from the Portland Mercury that they have decided to cut Robots Are People Too after a run of two months. They are also cutting Johnny Ryan’s Blecky Yuckerella after a four year run. They had to take out two strips to make room for the new one (it’s a strip most of you probably know already).
Thursday will be the last Mercury printing of both comics. Johnny Ryan’s fan are fuming over at the Mercury’s blog right now. So far, Robots Are People Too has only been referenced once as “that retarded robot comic,” which I think is hilarious. If you want to air out your questions or concerns over the Mercury’s choice, you may do so on the blog link above or via an email to the editor at lovenotes@portlandmercury.com. Even if you don’t want to say anything, people complaining via the internet is always an entertaining read.

I’m sorry to hear that. For me, knowing that your work is going into print form for the masses to enjoy was always a big bonus for doing something I already liked. I stopped submitting cartoons to a local paper after they refused to negotiate the ownership rights or the meager $8 they paid me per cartoon.
Oh well, just keep doing what you do. (That sounded a little too ghetto)

It might have been that voodoo curse i placed on you BT, and im sorry about that. I guess you’ll JUST BE LIKE ME AGAIN
Thanks, Patrick!
Damn you, Brybox, you handsome devil! You and your voodoo.
I only hope the comic that is taking your space is Mark Trail. That would offer some amount of consolation, wouldn’t it?
That would be the only aceptable comic replacement.
