2010 Calendars, Finally!

Better almost late than never I suppose. I have had it in my head to make a tearaway shop-style calendar since I started working with the perfect binder at the IPRC, and on this the last day of 2009, here they are for 2010.
And now some process!

The base image of this dapper ghosty is a three-color screenprint on heavy cover stock. Also printed were some guides to help in calendar and hanging placement.

Now glue on the calendar part that you’ve had printed and bound for months as you’ve procrastinated on the rest of the project!

Stick ‘em all under your heaviest, most awesome book. Wait.

You’ve got calendars! You’ll notice I also put brass grommets on for hanging, instead of just punching a hole through the top. This should help it last all the way throughout the next year.
The Perfect Snowman

An illustration for greeting cards that will be sent out with every order of Man’s Face Stuff moustache wax throughout the next month. It also coincides with the release of our first, limited edition, seasonal scent, “Seasoned Greetings,” which is scented with balsam, clove, and real cinnamon. It’s like having a hot cup of mulled cider and a gingerbread cookie under your nose all day. It’s limited to a small batch of only 30 hand-numbered tins and will be for sale here before the end of the week.
15% OFF PROMO: The holiday seasons are coming up and I would like to remind everyone to please think about supporting independent artists and craftspeople when you are doing your gift giving this year. It’s not the easiest or most financially feasible thing in the world to make a living selling your own work. Now is the perfect time to not only support a community of people busting their ass to make something beautiful, but also to give as a gift something that actually has some soul and craft behind it, as opposed to some mass-produced piece of nothing. So, in order to give you even more encouragement, until Thursday, December 10th, all purchases of $20 or more (not including shipping) from either the radrobot.org store or my Etsy shop (which has my t-shirts), will receive a 15% discount! The discount will come in the form of a Paypal refund after the order is completed.
I will be adding some of the blank, perfect-bound journals I’ve been making to Etsy later this week, and some screenprinted, 2010 calendars the week after that, in case you’re not quite ready to buy today. And here are some of my favorite items I have found on Etsy lately; I’m sure their creators could all use a little love as well. Pass the word along!
A Meeting of the Staches

My business partner in Man’s Face Stuff Moustache Wax, E.E. Dumas (below me in photo), and I were out for breakfast on Sunday, when by chance we ran into two of our be-whiskered patrons, Joe Wachunas and David Chow at the same restaurant, so of course pictures were taken. Feel the power.
We are currently working on some new scents, an orange and black pepper, of which I have been using the prototype wax for a while now, and some various scent mixes with fresh tobacco.
